  4.             Assembly Language Power For Turbo Pascal
  5.                   (Shareware Version)

  7.   The Boosters 4.0 library supports Turbo Pascal version 4.0 or
  8.   higher.
  9.  
  10.   The complete library (as of 10/22/88) offers you 90
  11.   routines, all of which you can pull from a single unit,
  12.   BOOSTERS.TPU.
  13.  
  14.   The shareware version of the library contains only the
  15.   routines written in assembly language (MASM 4.0), which
  16.   total 63.  This version also resides in a single unit,
  17.   BOSHARE.TPU.

  19.   The shareware module has in it:

  21.       1)  BOSHARE.PAS
  22.       2)  BOSHARE.TPU
  23.       3)  Example routines
  24.       5)  The Boosters screen generator, ScrGen16, which
  25.       lets you design your video interface panels and
  26.       menus, then save them in a single file.  Boosters
  27.       has routines that let you copy the screens from
  28.       the file to the heap, from which they can be
  29.       rifled to the screen in whole or in part using
  30.       other Boosters procedures.
  31.       4)  Documentation files (2) for the complete Boosters
  32.           library (in other words, documentation for all
  33.           90 routines)
  34.       5)  This Readme file
  35.       6)  63 .OBJ files for the externals in BOSHARE.PAS

  37.   As many of you know, Boosters has been around for awhile.
  38.  
  39.   In November, 1985, version 1.0 entered the shareware world
  40.   for support of Turbo Pascal 2.0 and 3.0.  Subsequent versions
  41.   improved performance, added functionality to existing
  42.   routines, and inducted new routines into the library.
  43.  
  44.   Boosters underwent a complete overhaul for Turbo Pascal 4.0
  45.   because of major changes in the compiler.  Thus, Boosters 4.0,
  46.   which made its debut in April, 1988, supports only Turbo
  47.   Pascal 4.0 and higher.

  49.   Boosters has caught the attention of several reviewers.  You
  50.   can find the most recent writeup in the June, 1988 issue of
  51.   Computer Language, Tim Parker's column.  Doug Ortega reviewed
  52.   Boosters 2.0 in the Product Watch section of PC Tech Journal in
  53.   the July, 1987 issue, as well.  We thank both reviewers sincerely
  54.   for their positive assessment.

  56.   Boosters has been a commercial product off and on during its
  57.   young life.  As of October 22, 1988, Boosters 4.0, in this
  58.   limited form only, is shareware once again.

  60.   So, here are the some suggested options:

  62.      1)  If you like Boosters but don't want the complete
  63.      library, you can encourage product growth by
  64.      registering for $18.90.  That's 63 assembly
  65.      language modules at thirty cents apiece.
  66.  
  67.      2)  If you like Boosters and want the complete library
  68.      (all 90 routines), you can encourage product growth
  69.      by registering for $25.00.  The complete library,
  70.      of course, includes the Pascal source code for the
  71.      27 additional routines that comprise Boosters.Pas--
  72.          as well as the source code for ScrGen16.Pas.
  73.  
  74.      3)  If you like Boosters, want the complete library and
  75.      a printed copy of the documentation, you can
  76.      encourage product growth by registering for $35.00.
  77.      The documentation came off an HP Series II (thanks to
  78.      John Jones of LaGrange Park, IL) and has a plastic
  79.      spiral binding that allows it to lay flat (Amen!).

  81.      4)  If you like Boosters and want everything--full library,
  82.      printed doc, and documented assembler source code for
  83.      all 63 externals (perhaps to help you learn assembly
  84.      language with the Turbo Assembler)--you can encourage
  85.      product growth by registering for $50.00.
  86.  
  87.   We trust that if you are using Boosters in software that you
  88.   sell, you will choose to register.  There are no royalties for
  89.   including Boosters routines in your products.

  91.   When you register under option 2 ,3, or 4, you receive the
  92.   latest version of the library.  We keep all registered users
  93.   notified of any revisions, new releases or products.
